Manage and develop the commercial relationships with an existing portfolio of travel agents in the Nordic & Baltic States region, in close cooperation with our EMEAI management team and the (Nordic) Atlantic Joint Venture partners.

Assist the Country Manager in all commercial activities

Responsibilities :

The incumbent will develop the assigned travel agent portfolio in close cooperation with the Country Manager, which includes the following duties :

  • Build & maintain profitable revenue streams & market shares for Air Canada in the Nordic & Baltic region in close cooperation with our local Atlantic Joint Venture partners – Lufthansa Group & United Airlines.
  • Manage, review, and improve revenue opportunities within the travel agent portfolio.
  • Drive the successful implementation of commercial agreements, as well as related sales & marketing activities.
  • Plan, participate and represent Air Canada in various industry events, workshops, and trade fairs in the Nordic & Baltic region.
  • Ensure sales and marketing activities are within return of investment requirements and cost of sale budget.
  • Contribute to developing the annual Air Canada regional sales & marketing plan.
  • Participate in implementing new commercial digital solutions in the region e.g., NDC.

Note : Actual duties and responsibilities may include any or all the functional duties & responsibilities listed above plus any other related tasks as assigned by the employee’s superior.

Qualifications

  • Business school education level is a minimum requirement
  • Minimum 5 years airline or travel industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years in an independent external sales account management role.
  • Substantial practical experience in working with strategic partnerships and managing various stakeholders in multiple countries.
  • Clear understanding of the Nordic airline markets and main sales channels including leisure, OTA, and the corporate markets.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and MS office, especially Excel & Power Point
  • Good knowledge of the travel industry distribution systems - GDS (Amadeus) is a requirement.
  • Other knowledge of digital systems such as NDC, CRM tools e.g. Salesforce etc. is a plus
  • Working Conditions :

  • Permanent Full-time position
  • Position based in Denmark (Kastrup)
  • Office hours (Monday to Friday) with some flexibility with work hours required.
  • Local valid diver’s license required.
  • Frequent travels in the region (40-50 days per year)
  • Right to work in Denmark.
  • Conditions of Employment :

  • Linguistic Requirements

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and one or more Scandinavian languages
  • Knowledge of French is a plus.
