Ensure the safe and environmentally friendly operation of 4-5 vessels
In this officed-based role, you will have technical, operational and financial responsibilities, which include the day-to-day management of your assigned vessels.
You can expect to spend about half your time planning and arranging logistics. Other key tasks include updating and maintaining systems and inspecting vessels (which leads to about 60-80 travel days annually).
Much of your collaboration will be with captains, crews and our technical managers. You will also be in contact with the Vetting department, our Crewing department, and commercial operators. External relations include suppliers, subcontractors, dry docks, class, oil majors and shipowners.
Qualifications
We are seeking a Ship Manager with knowledge of regulations governing the marine industry under IMO, such as ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL and STCW, and someone who understands how to access information when required.
Your experience enables you to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously without compromising quality or precision. You can confidently operate independently in a dynamic environment with a high degree of responsibility, freedom and short power distances.
