TPI Composites is the leading wind-blade manufacturer and the only independent wind blade manufacturer with a global footprint. We are looking for a motivated Special Warranty Project Manager to join our Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department. The position reports to the Problem-Solving Manager.
Key Objectives
The new Global CIM Department oversees TPI Composite blade products integrity at customer sites (windfarms) within warranty period. As our new Special Warranty Project Manager, you are an excellent self-motivated communicator and stakeholder manager. You are a recognized strong PM able to lead special complex large projects in a rapidly changing environment and under able to exceed external customer expectations despite being under high pressure. You have sufficient knowledge on wind blade technologies, production processes and operation in windfarm to lead the project team into the right direction and generate high project results.
Main Responsibilities :
- Take over from the Warranty Technical Leaders the planning and execution of large complex Warranty projects activities where cross functional resource coordination and flow of information exceed the bandwidth of the Technical Leader (Large blade population risk mitigation campaigns with regular customer, supplier & internal resource coordination, or complex implementation of preventive measure across different factories & products, etc…).
- Act as an operation / execution partner to the TL in large or special projects to increase efficiency in Warranty problem solving & general risk control, therefore increase customer satisfaction.
- Be a strong internal coordinator of resource-intensive & cross-functional activities and in stakeholders’ communication (internal & external).
- Follow a portfolio of projects progress ensuring actions are closed in timely and qualitatively manner. Escalate project risks such as resource shortage, new technical risks.
- Get support from the Warranty Technical Leads and Technical Support team to control the completed work packages quality meets expectation (. technical checks and sign offs)
- Work with Field Service Project Managers in the preparation of large field campaigns (handover a clear & documented work package) and keep an eye on the progress to report to customers on behalf.
- Be familiar with internal CWM process and take initiatives in improving it, especially from lessons learnt on large project executions that may fall out of the normal process.
- Work with the Warranty Lean System engineer to continuously improve the systems and tools supporting large projects execution in a leaner way.
- Escalate to Customer Warranty Relations manager any complex communication to customer or need for overall strategy with Customer global organizations.
Qualifications & Experience
degree in Engineering required. MSc or MBA or PhD preferred.Minimum 10 years complex projects management experience in a cross-cultural fast changing environment required with minimum of 5 years wind blade composite experienceExperience in project management with PMP certification.Lean 6-sigma green belt certification preferred.Computer proficiency & Excellent presentation skillsQuality orientation and high attention to detailAbility to work with vendors, customers and employeesExperience working with high performance teams.Ability to maintain safe work environment.English fluency; speak, read, writePersonality & Leadership :
