Student Developer -Computer Vision & Machine Learning
Part-time
About the job
At the Phoenix Business Unit, we specialize in machine learning and computer vision. Here, you'll join the core team developing our Vision AI Platform which is the foundation for many of our services. The platform is built with a focus on software craftmanship, modern technology, and a strong belief in developer autonomy.
As a student developer, your tasks will be highly practical and related to the Vision AI Platform. You'll create working demonstrators of the system's capabilities, contribute production code, prototype models, and assist on customer-facing projects. Expect to work with modern computer vision software (mainly Python and the pytorch ecosystem) and vision hardware.
You have the option to take part in real design discussions, DevOps workflows, and product decisions that shape the future of the Vision AI platform. Your work will have a direct impact, helping developers and organizations deploy, connect, and scale computer vision systems with confidence.
This is a role for someone who’s curious, ambitious, and eager to learn from practitioners who take pride in building software that lasts.
About you
You’re studying software development, computer science, data science, cognitive science or a related field — and you’ve already built a solid foundation in programming. Preferably, you’re in the final years of your studies , or you’ve already gained some practical experience through previous student jobs or personal projects.
You have experience with Python and computer vision technologies , and are energized by building, testing, and experimenting. You enjoy writing code that’s clean, maintainable, and understandable, and you’re curious about how great software is designed, built, and operated in production. You don't have to be an expert programmer - the most important thing is a passion for machine learning and a drive to improve your skills.
You take responsibility for your work, enjoy collaborating with others, and are motivated by improving your craft. You’re not afraid to ask questions, experiment, and learn from feedback. You want to grow into a developer who understands the full lifecycle of modern software — from architecture and automation to deployment and monitoring — and you see this role as a natural next step in your journey.
What we offer
A flexible, part-time role of approximately 10–15 hours per week , tailored to fit alongside your studies
Mentorship from experienced engineers, exposure to full lifecycle development (from design through deployment), and a growth-oriented, learning-driven environment
All work will be carried out from our office at Fiskerivej 2H, Aarhus C , using a company-provided laptop and full access to our internal development environments and tools
