Regarding the position: We are looking for an enthusiastic and service-minded employee to join our specialized shop, focusing on high quality Japanese knives and Japanese knife craftmanship. The position combines sales and customer service with practical work, involving knife sharpening and maintenance, as well as ongoing communication with our Japanese suppliers and business partners. A significant part of the postion involves direct communication with Japanese manufacturers and suppliers. Therefore, a high level of Japanese language proficiency is an essential requirement for the position. Your responsibilities: Selling and advising customers on Japanese high quality knives and accessories. Providing customer service andguidance on the selection, use and maintenance of knives. Knife sharpening, maintenance and hand engraving. Receiving, checking and handling goods. Stock and inventory management. Communication with Japanese suppliers and manufacturers. Handling product information, orders, specifications and deliveries. Translating and communicating information between the company and Japanese business partners. Contributing to the day-to-day operation and presentation of the shop. Speak and write Japanese at a high level. Be able to communicate professionally with Japanese suppliers, both verbally and in writing. Have an interest in Japanese knives, craftmanship and quality. Have good customer service and sales skills. Be detail oriented and quality conscious. Be able to work independently and take responsibility. Have an interest in or experience with knife sharpening. Have a good command of English for communication with colleagues and customers. Experience in sales, knife sharpening or working with Japaneseknives is an advantage. Experience with hand engraving of knives is also an advantage. Training in the companys products and working methods will be provided as required. Japanese is an essential working language, as the employee will have regular contact with Japanese manufacturers and suppliers regarding product information, orders, specifikations, deliveries and other matters related to our Japanese products.
