About the role As a Senior Automation Engineer in the PLC Systems department, you will be involved in all stages of the project lifecycle – from early design to commissioning, testing and validation – ensuring seamless integration of control systems into pharmaceutical facilities. Your main focus will be on designing, integrating, and testing PLC & SCADA solutions in complex IT/OT landscapes, and contributing to solution design, test strategies and quality‑compliant deliveries. Responsibilities Designing and developing automation solutions, both traditional and innovative. Discussing integrations and system architectures with platforms such as PLC/SCADA, DCS, PAS‑X, SAP EWM and fleet manager. Contributing to standardisation efforts and alignment with target architectures. Documenting, testing, and verifying solutions in new and existing facilities. Collaborating with stakeholders across NNE, customers, IT partners, and suppliers. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in automation engineering for pharmaceutical or regulated industries. Experience with automated and complex data structures in pharma industrial environments. Knowledge of integration between IT and OT systems, including ERP, MES, and DCS/PCS layers. Experience with system integration testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Experience with industrial networks, communication protocols such as OPC‑UA and Profinet, and control systems such as PLC/SCADA (Siemens, GE, Aveva, etc.). Knowledge of GMP / GAMP requirements in regulated industries. Experience with OT security and IT requirements for integration into corporate IT domains. Optional: Experience with automated warehouse and logistics. Work Environment The role is primarily on‑site, with physical presence at the workplace expected five days a week. Limited flexibility for occasional remote work may be accommodated in line with business needs.
