How You Can Contribute As our new Cross-Commodity Trader, you will join Biogem at an exciting growth phase. Our biomethane portfolio is expanding, and cross-commodity trading between biomethane, gas and power is becoming ever more important for both revenue optimisation and risk control. You will play a hands-on role in trading biomethane, gas and power while helping us capture opportunities in an increasingly interconnected energy market. You will play a critical role in: Cross-Commodity Trading - Delivering strong results from cross-commodity trading strategies across biomethane, natural gas and power markets - Developing creative and innovative trading strategies that optimise value and capture new opportunities - Supporting the development of systematic trading strategies and automated capabilities Risk Management - Implementing and following robust risk management practices, including continuous monitoring of positions, stress testing, and assessment of exposure to volatile market conditions - Ensuring all trading activities remain controlled, compliant and aligned with Biogem’s risk framework Entrepreneurial Spirit & Precision - Bringing an entrepreneurial philosophy and attitude, proactively identifying opportunities, taking ownership and driving initiatives in fast-moving and globalized markets - Being sharp and detail-oriented in all aspects of your work despite a dynamic working environment - Maintaining high precision in position management, data analysis, contract handling and daily execution while translating complex market signals into accurate, timely trading decisions To succeed in the role, you - Have proven trading experience within an allocated risk mandate in energy commodities (preferably gas, power or renewables) or strong equivalent experience - Demonstrate solid risk management skills and the ability to take well-reasoned positions - Possess outstanding numerical and analytical abilities - Are dilligent, proactive and thrive in close collaboration with traders, analysts and developers - Communicate openly and contribute positively to a supportive team culture Even if you don’t match every point perfectly but believe you can add real value to our team, we encourage you to apply.
