Right now, we are looking to add an analytically strong and socially skilled Underwriter to our Financial Lines team in Copenhagen – a team consisting of 6 highly skilled and dedicated colleagues.

The role will focus on our Danish and Norwegian Financial Lines business, however as part of the Nordic Financial Lines team you will work closely with colleagues across the Nordic countries. The role of the Underwriter combines financial risk analysis, commercial law and policy conditions, negotiation, and data & portfolio administration.

In the role as Underwriter in Financial Lines, you will take ownership of underwriting of both new and renewal business, primarily within Directors and Officers Liability, Cyber insurance, Professional Indemnity for Technological companies, Crime insurance and other lines of business such as Employment Practice Liability, IPOs etc. within all our business segments, which includes a focus on multinational programs.

Your key responsibilities as a Financial Lines Underwriter will be to :

• Conduct independent underwriting & negotiations which includes risk assessment and pricing of new business opportunities and renewals, as well as independently negotiating with brokers on price, conditions and more.
• Actively take part in Product Development within the Financial Lines product area to improve client retention and new business.
• Support the Manager for Financial Lines Denmark & Norway in implementation of portfolio actions.
• Ensure quality control within defined areas of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting review to develop best performers’ segments.
• Sales & Market related activities : Represent and promote Chubb to brokers and clients, and thereby increasing Chubb market visibility. This includes local & international meetings and social activities with brokers. Maximise cross selling in collaboration with our other lines of business.
• Independently handle requests and queries from brokers and / or clients under supervision of senior underwriters.
