We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a major construction project in Denmark. This is a site-based role focused on setting out, quality control, and technical coordination across large-scale construction works.
The role suits an engineer who enjoys being hands-on on site, working closely with planners, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and to specification in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set out works in line with drawings, specifications, and site surveys
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and quality standards are met
- Coordinate with planning and construction teams to align schedules and sequencing
- Inspect works and materials to ensure compliance with specifications
- Manage RFIs and technical queries with subcontractors and consultants
- Maintain quality records, site diaries, and progress reports
- Review subcontractor drawings and construction outputs
- Support inspections, testing, snagging, and handover activities
- Assist with site facilities, deliveries, and material tracking
- Promote safe working practices and review method statements
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
- Support measurement, valuation, and reporting with the commercial team
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in civil or construction engineeringStrong setting-out experience using total stations, lasers, and surveying equipmentGood understanding of drainage, reinforcement, concrete, and structural worksExperience across multiple trades (substructures, superstructures, facades, piling)Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressureClear communicator with strong reporting and coordination skillsDesirable Experience
