About Mutti Nordics

In a market highly dominated by private label Mutti is the number one tomato brand in all Nordic markets; with a market share of +25% in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland and +10% in Denmark. Mutti is the brand driving the market. Since 2018, when Mutti Nordics was established, they represent more than 85% of the total volume growth within Nordic retail. That makes Nordics the area outside Italy where people love the Mutti brand the most in the world.

Mutti Nordic has since the start 2018 been acting as an agent in all the Nordic countries either through importers or direct with retail and Horeca customer. Now they are preparing for taking the next step in the Danish market. To continue the fruitful journey Mutti Nordic is now looking for a Key Account Manager for the Danish Market, reporting to the Sales Manager of Sweden & Denmark, while having close cooperations with colleagues in Nordic Marketing and Finance, as well as the engaged Mutti Team in Italy.

This is a broad and exciting role where you will contribute with your customer understanding and joint business planning in particular. In this role you will have a broad range of central contacts with the leading Danish retailers and foodservice customers and close cooperations with the local sales partner. Your drive and devotion will be important factors in building Mutti’s continuous success.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Operational responsibility of Mutti’s key customers in Denmark for both retail and HORECA business, including the management of the relationship with 3rd party sales team and distributors
  • Yearly and periodic definition of objectives and strategies for the assigned Key Accounts
  • Annual negotiations about assortment, promotion & sales activities, to ensure Mutti’s financial and commercial targets achievement
  • Formulation & implementation of individual customer development plans including promotions and sales activities and monitoring of successful implementation
  • Striving and working towards preferred supplier status, securing a strengthened market position as the category captain / expert.
  • Management of customer budgets within guidelines
  • Responsible for accurate & timely sales & volume forecast planning
  • Regular market review & competition analysis
  • Generating business insights through Nielsen & POS data
  • Attending regular food / trade fairs and other events

Your background & profile

We are looking for a senior and established Key Account Manager, an expert of the Danish FMCG market if you will, that can tell the rest of us “how to do it” to grow further in Denmark. We see that you have some solid years of experience from working with customer development managing similar responsibilities in the same type of setting . As a member of a Nordic team you will be important both as a source of knowledge in your field but also act as the expert of the Danish market within Mutti forums. Your English is naturally flawless and you speak Danish fluently, Swedish knowledge is a plus. You have an academic degree in business, marketing or similar.
