Job beskrivelse

We are looking for two highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Technicians (laboranter) or Biomedical Laboratory Scientists to join the Gerhart-Hines and Sakamoto Group at The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR), to start August 1, 2023, or after agreement.

Our research

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research’s vision is to strengthen interdisciplinary research that transforms our basic understanding of the mechanisms that underlie metabolic health and disease, and to accelerate this knowledge toward new prevention and treatment strategies. We were established in 2010 and in 2017, we moved into new laboratories, offices and meeting rooms in the Maersk Tower www.maersktower.ku.dk

The Center has around 260 employees who work in an international, highly collaborative research environment across a range of biomedical disciplines. You can read more about us here :  www.cbmr.ku.dk.

Our groups and research

The positions available are in the Gerhart-Hines and Sakamoto research groups. We are two groups of 10+ people working with in vitro and in vivo models. The Gerhart-Hines group explores how neuronal, hormonal, and nutrient signaling networks govern adipose tissue biology and influence systemic energy homeostasis. The Sakamoto Group investigates fundamental molecular signaling mechanisms that control energy homeostasis. More information about the groups can be found at Adipose Metabolic Control in the Gerhart-Hines Group and Metabolic signaling in the Sakamoto group
