Position

We are currently seeking a Junior Payroll Specialist Nordic to join our dynamic team in Copenhagen with a passion for numbers and advanced Excel skills to bolster our payroll operations across the Nordic region.

Based in Copenhagen, this pivotal role centers on precise payroll execution (90%) and continuous improvement of our processes (10%) for Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. As part of our dedicated HR team, you will report directly to the HR Manager and collaborate closely with a Sr Payroll Specialist and internal departments ( Accounting, Retail, etc.) as well as external partners to ensure seamless and accurate payroll administration.

YOUR MISSION :

  • Payroll Processing Excellence : Work alongside an experienced Payroll Specialist to ensure meticulous processing and on-time delivery of payroll for the Nordic countries while maintaining strict adherence to local compliance laws.
  • Lifecycle Payroll Management : Take full responsibility for managing employee lifecycle changes in our payroll system, from onboarding new hires to processing offboardings. Ensure accurate reflection of employment status changes and their impact on payroll
  • Collaboration for Accuracy :  reconcile all aspects of payroll data and resolve discrepancies. Commit to upholding the highest accuracy standards in every pay cycle.
  • Documentation & Compliance : Take ownership of vital documentation related to payroll processes while ensuring confidentiality and proper storage. Remain vigilant about legislative updates potentially impacting payroll operations within each jurisdiction under your purview.
  • Additional Payroll / Accounting Tasks Ad Hoc
  • Process Optimization : Actively participate in enhancing current payroll procedures for optimal efficiency

Profile

WHO YOU ARE :

Educational Foundation : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.

Payroll Experience : A minimum of 2 years' experience focused on payroll functions with an understanding of multi-country regulations preferred, ideally scandinavian countries.

Technical Proficiency : Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required. Familiarity with ADP / Celergo and Planday is advantageous.

Language Skills : Fluent English is essential; proficiency in one or more Scandinavian languages highly beneficial.

Analytical Mindset : You have strong analytical skills that enable you to interpret financial data accurately.

Organizational Prowess : Exceptional attention to detail combined with excellent organizational capabilities allows you to manage multiple tasks effectively.
